Goal of the game
Clear the tableau by building eight complete sequences from King down to Ace. A completed King-to-Ace sequence is removed automatically. You win when all 104 cards have been cleared.
Game layout
The game starts with 54 cards in ten tableau columns. The first four columns contain six cards each, and the remaining six columns contain five cards each. Only the top card of every column is face up. The other 50 cards form five stock deals of ten cards.
How to play Spider Solitaire 1 Suit
- Build cards in descending order, such as 9 on 10 or Queen on King.
- Move a single face-up card, or move a correctly ordered descending sequence as one unit.
- Turn over the next face-down card whenever you expose it.
- Move any available card or packed sequence into an empty column.
- Deal a new row from the stock only when every tableau column contains at least one card.
Strategy tips
- Create an empty column early. Empty columns give you space to reorganize long sequences.
- Reveal face-down cards before making cosmetic moves between already open cards.
- Delay dealing from the stock until you have made every useful move on the tableau.
- Use Undo to compare alternatives when two moves appear equally useful.
